Conversely, hiring managers can assume you deserve your current job and have desirable experience, skills, and qualifications if you are employed when you interview.

If you're out of work, hiring managers must ask WHY. Answering this question can be tricky depending on the reason for your unemployment. Interviewing for a new position while you are still employed avoids this awkward question entirely.

Employed candidates are more confident. Having a job lessens the pressure of getting an offer, often leading to more confidence and self-assurance during the interview process.

You're already in "work mode." If you have a current job, hiring managers assume you follow a daily routine of getting up on time, attending to tasks, and fulfilling your work responsibilities.
